Being an active participant in one’s own community can be a simple, affordable, and accessible way to contribute to the health and well-being of where we choose to live, work, and play.
We love where we live! And we know that if we want to continue to love where we live, sometimes we need to lead, sometimes we need to follow, and sometimes we just need to show up. The Sociable Scientists volunteer their time, experience, and knowledge with a variety of organizations on Vancouver Island.

The Adopt-a-Trail program is an initiative of Greenways Land Trust in the Beaver Lodge Forest Lands.
This seven-member volunteer committee guides the program development for the annual VIEA Summit.
