VISITOR EXPERIENCE SURVEY – MULTIPLE COMMUNITIES ON VANCOUVER ISLAND

The Sociable Scientists have designed, managed, analyzed, and presented results for the Visitor Experience Survey (VES) to/for nine tourism communities on Vancouver Island between 2014 and 2016 (ongoing). Of those nine communities, seven have or will be participating in multiple collections for year-over-year and/or season-to-season data. To date we have managed and analyzed over 6,800 completed surveys with the VES. The data collected as part of these projects have provided Community Destination Marketing Organizations and tourism stakeholders with timely and relevant information on the experiences, behaviours, expectations, and profiles of visitors, allowing for more informed decision-making and strategic planning in relation to product development, marketing, and sustainable community tourism development.
